To mark International Women’s Day, ThirdSpace brought together community members, youth, and local leaders for an evening of reflection, celebration, and storytelling. The event centered Black and racialized women and femmes, highlighting their contributions, challenges, and power.

What We Did:

• Curated a panel featuring intergenerational voices from the community

• Hosted an open-floor storytelling session and reflection circle

• Collaborated with local vendors and artists to create a welcoming, affirming atmosphere

• Shared food, music, and poetry rooted in joy and resistance

  
  This space reminded us that honoring women means creating room for their stories to breathe — not just during one day, but in everything we build. The most powerful part wasn’t just the stories that were told, but the energy in the room: full of care, pride, and collective grounding. Many attendees shared that it was the first time they felt truly seen in a community space like this.
